its been a boring friday night after an eventful thursday night. yesterday, i was on a part time job in the gardens mid valley. it was a Marks&Spencer fashion show in the boutique itself catered by bakerzin. pretty simple work actually, serving canapes and some beverages. that's all for only rm50. ka-ching!! we got some M&S goodies as well=) i saw Elaine Daly; she was the host of the event, Dayang Nurfaizah; the performer and not to mention the amazingly gorgeous models! even better when i get to see them upclose as i was quite near the runway. nearly got me head over heels.. LOL!
what's with Malaysian people and free food? am i to understand that they think of canapes as their dinner? i mean, c'mon they're just bite size dishes. no bigger than the size of a cookie. there i was carrying a plate of canapes into the shop, and after about 5 steps (or less) my plate was clean. i havent even reach to the people standing inside. and i thought to myself, maybe they are just curious to try the food. to my surprise, this 'curiousity' lasted for almost 2 hours. that's just a part of it. where to they put the food if they dun like it? they could have been a tad bit more decent and just swallow it up? oh, no. they had to wrap it up in the tissue and just dump it on my tray as i walked by. some of them, dont even bother to wrap it up properly, so u can see bits and pieces of leftovers. urgh.
and the alcohol... we dont even have enough wine glasses to pour the reds, whites and the sparkling. *phew* this guy was like, another glass and another and another and another from 7 to 11. he was practically swaying from side to side with eyes barely even open until he friend decided to bring him out. its just funny watching people like that sometimes. anyway, it has always been like this for events such as this. we, as servers would observe and then we would go and laugh behind their backs. lol, my karma's gonna be so bad. its hilarious, especially when they are about to do something embarassing and they'd think no one is watching and it so happens that i witness all this, is it just sheer dumb luck? XD
all in all, it was a great night and i got my rm50 and my M&S goodie bag. its a shame i couldnt keep the apron. but then again, you can get everything you wish for =P
i went for supper at williams later. that's 2 nights in a row already. dear me. i ordered this strawberry banana drink. it had some lychees and longans inside. yummy! for food, we shared nasi goreng ketam, cordon bleu and cheese nann with condensed milk. the last one, is really a sin. gluttony. in the end, yishan, eileen, jiafoong, chinling and me were completely bloated. ahah! and it was only rm13 per person. honoestly, you wont be dissapointed when you go there =D
well well, that's about it. im going for a wild wild west themed dinner in college tmrw. i mean, today, considering the time. hehe. i even got a cowboy hat to go with my outfit but i'll save it for another post.
